Either Belle has grown or her rug is shrinking but she definitely needs a bigger one.

As a student, I am on somewhat of a budget but I prefer to buy better known brands. I have had so much hassle with Derby House own brand rugs or other cheap sorts and I would rather get something of some quality like Weatherbeeta, Masta etc.

I am looking for something around the 200g mark, combo turnout. I have seen a Weatherbeeta Genero for £55.99. It appears to be cheaper as it is missing the shoulder gusset and is part of their economy range. Does anyone have any experience of these? Are they usual Weatherbeeta quality and just more basic?

Would love to hear your experiences of them or of good alternatives. Thanks. :)

my mare has one and in terms of quality it is to the usual weatherbeeta standard, just like the landa but without the shoulder dart. As a budget rug they are good but have you considere the ebay Axiom rugs, i hear good things about those.

Felt like a landa in quality, which, like most 600 denier rugs, is pretty rubbish, rips easily and no particualarly water-proof.

Second the Axiom suggestion - go for a higher denier ones and they are fab, and within your budget. Well made, strong material and a very generous fit. Just had a look on ebay though (only place to buy them) and they don't have the middleweight 1200D one I bought last year - only the amazing 1800D ones (but HW) or the cheaper 600D ones, which would be worth a go for the price

Thanks for the suggestions, I will take a look at the axioms. Belle does have a l/w Weatherbeeta Landa 600D and she has never ripped it (we have nothing to rip it on and no rug biters) so 600D is not too bad. :)

Thank you.
