I need a non-rippable rug. T is a right pansy and, unlike the rest, will need rugged most of the winter. Unfortunatly he lives with a horse who's very favourite game is to play with the other horses rugs, little *$&"^.
I'm therefore looking for a high denier rug 1600+denier.
£150 is the maximum budget (any more than that and I'd be better off buying shedloads of super-cheap rubbish!)
Want a full neck, ideally an all in-one. Needs to be deep. Newer 'freestyle' WB don't suit his shape. I do love the weatherbeeta extra large tail flaps however. A middleweight ideally but doesn't really matter as I'm dab hand with a sewing maching and can easily take some of the filling out.
Found the weatherbeeta Tristar and it looks good. The 100g outer would be perfect for all but the coldest days.
My only concerns are : how well does the liner rug stay in place under the top rug? T likes to play rough and tumble with his friends all day.
Whats the detach-a-neck like? How's it attached? I've never seem on in the flesh. Hopefully it's not like the stupid traditional neck covers that flip up when their heads down and lets all the rain in?
Or can anyone reccomend other very high denier fullneck rugs that stay in one piece?!
