Its that time of year and I'm looking for a winter rug. I want to get a complete liner system, so I've narrowed to down to the Rambo Duo or the Weatherbeeta Tristar. But I can't seem to find the Tristar in stock anywhere (I'm online only as my local tack shops don't stock WB). Has anyone else noticed this? Are they even still making it?

Not sure if they still make them, but i wouldn't bother if they do. I have a new one in my tack room, used twice it itsn't breatheable- horse was soaked from the inside!

As above, they no longer make them.
I have one and don't have the problem of breathability that some people have experienced, but it not as good a fit so I only use it as a spare in winter

As mentioned WB discontinued it

I have had a Duo for 2 years and it is totally brilliant!! Wouldn't do anything else now!! Also have the new Rhino mw stable which takes the duo lines in too.

Iv got a tristar, never had probs with breathability but it does look wet when it's wet, if that makes sense! Although underneath is dry! I got it for my idxwb and fits really well, the rambo was too tight on his shoulders although got one for my tb and it's amazing!

I love my Rambo Duo but these have now been replaced by the Rambo Optima (sp?). Premier Equine also have a similar rugging system which is cheaper but I have never tried PE rugs so can't comment on them.

The Optima hasn't replaced the Duo, Horseware still make both rugs. The Optima is the same concept as the Duo- i.e Liner System, but it is designed for the larger horse- it offers easier movement for the horse due to the 'articulated' splits at the shoulders.

The Tristar was discontinued due to customer complaints.

We offer rug cleaning/repairing etc at work and I must say, most of the rugs (50+ per week) I repair are Premier Equine- seams pulling apart, cheap fittings etc.
