Bought a 2year old irish sports horse x knapstrupper from auction back in may,she came with a weatherbys passport but its called a document of description.

What colour is the back of the passport as this denoted the year? Does it have the full breeding, name of breeder and passport number on it with an embossed Weatherbys stamp too?
I have a TB filly here and her full (GSB) Weatherby passport also says 'Document of Description' so I would be inclined to think that the dam of your filly is registered on the Non Thoroughbred Register although I may be wrong.
As MQ said, an ID only passport says that is what it is, for identity purposes only whereas a full or NTR passport would mean the parents (certainly the dam) would also be registered with known breeding.
I'd still ring Weatherbys to check, they're always very helpful.

Thanks Pat,
I have it right here, the back cover is blue,it has the breeders name on the front, passport number & microchip number on it,
there isnt an embosed stamp though? It has her mothers & fathers name on the front but underneath it says "damsire unregistered"
Things arent adding up though she was only £300!!
She does have a hernia though which could be the reason he wanted her gone!
Thanks so much for your help.
Karen
