For those who use it:

It is 2 for £1 in selected branches of Poundland at the mo, I bought some today for tracking/general minging recall bait......

....but seriously, the chicken one, does anyone actually feed it as their main dog food? 81% water, very wibbly, with 'added herbs' - 0.5% of that vital ingredient of a dog's diet....basil!

Not knocking anyone who does but it is up there with raw green tripe in the totally disgusting stakes........

I used to look after a standard poodle that ate that -used to give me the bolk every time. And I'd have to keep a very close eye on my dogs and not let them eat it.

Weirdly, I used to know the family that started up that company. Their daughter possibly comes on here too. I've seen the stuff made as used to work as a student at the factory next door where the meat was supplied from and although I don't feed it myself I think that actually, from a content point of view it's better than some so called premium brands.

I only know about the chicken brand but can say its manufacture is not dissimilar to the processed chicken roll for human consumption. The dog equivalent of a turkey twizzler maybe?

Not advertising, can't stand the smell of the stuff personally but then I dont eat meat. Processed or otherwise.

Oh it is certainly not the worst by any stretch and as BC says at least it is wheat and gluten free. Am I right in thinking there is a tripe flavour? That might suit me a bit better but all I could see yesterday was chicken and beef.
Managed to get him back off chasing a hare this morning so it can't be all bad :p

I found this in Morrisons a couple of years back and tried our old (and fussy) dog on it as he was going through a phase of not wanting to each his usual food. He loved this stuff but it isn't exactly people friendly in terms of handling it is it! Stinks too but then our dog's preferred 'food' is dead, rotting rabbits and the like so hey, maybe to him it smells divine!

Amongst the various places I have seen it on sale Wilkinsons also sell it - I have seen it in 4 colours Yellow, Green, Red & Blue which I believe are Chicken, Rabbit, Beef & Lamb. Mine have it on very rare occassions when get bored with other food and I hate to admit they love it!! I do keep one or two in the cupboard as 'emergency' supplies.

The fact it has colours/preservatives although more the colours, in it would make it a no for me- am sure colourings make Dex even more batty! REALLY low protein tho if you had a dog that needed a low protein diet

We have it not fed as main meal however they have a tiny bit with there eve meal, the dogs love it i hate it as it stinks we get the box from asda its £3.92 for 8 chubs mixed flav. Also this is the only meat that dont give our lot the runs.

http://groceries.asda.com/asda-esto...e=Products&headerVersion=v1&_requestid=118931

That isnt meat, its animal derivatives (cartilage, soft bones, eye balls, eye lids prob cooked at high temperatures)

And just looking at the colourings and preservities (sp?) I wont touch it. Dylan is nuts enough lol.

Our springer went through a phase where this was the only thing she'd eat... She's built like a whippet at the best of times, and when she goes all faddy anything she'll eat is better than nothing or she looks very thin!

God, it looks rank though!

Far from the worst food on the market & ok for dogs that don't have any intolerances to any of it's ingredients as a small part of their diet. #
It is usually 50p at Wilkinsons.

We used to feed it to our first dog (25 years ago) or something similiar. He had a sensitive tummy and it was the only food that didn't give him the squits. It really is the most hideous stuff and I can still recall the smell and texture.

I really struggle to get Lola to eat kibble. We used a couple of sausages of this and it worked! She went off it though so now she likes tinned tomatoes? mince, the natural instinct stuff...

I hated chubb, it stank for one! Was vile to mix in but to be honest, I'd feed her it again if it made her finish a meal!!! I wouldn't feed it as a whole food though, too sloppy and minging!!

My girl is a very fussy eater tried all kinds but I am a bit ashamed to admit I fed her this mixed with complete and she woofs it down (excuse the pun)! My boy also has it now! My girl is very highly can't have anything with colours as sends her loopy but this doesn't have those same effect although only has half a stick a day mixed so no great deal. But it does stink but you get used to it ha

We use it to stuff kongs with then freeze it. Considering how many stuffed kongs we get through in a week (28 a week) we needed something cheap. Bought a pack of 8 of these rolls in countrywide for 2.99 in their sale last month. Thanks for the heads up!
