Hi, I work (kind of) in this field and from what I understand, horsewebdesign's prices aren't that unusual to be honest - but then again it depends on budget and quality.

I think you'd be far better off researching general web design companies rather than those specifically for equestrian pursuits because these professionals have an eye for what looks good and have usually had heaps of training - knowing anything about horses probably won't improve the site any. They'd know how to manipulate images and design in an accessible and nice way, without having to be an expert on horses - especially e-commerce sites where the content speaks for itself.

So good luck, and just look for suitable web designers, and call them to discuss your needs :)

P.S. really, you want to find a company in the UK (assuming that's where you are) because UK hosted sites register better with search engines for those searching in the UK than from US servers, and you'll probably be speaking to the designer quite a bit - phone rates could get quite pricey :)
