Due to a bit of a family crisis yesterday, I have had my sister's share of my mare dumped on me. Her financial share is the biggest issue and although I have plenty of people who can help me out, I really don't want to ask them to pay for something that is not their responsibility.

I have had a advert up on three different websites over the past month advertising my mare for share. A couple of people have looked at the advert and they all think it is a good one but I have had one enquiry and that fell through.

I've ended up in this predicament due to a very complicated situation, not stupidity on my part.

Can anybody recommend me good equestrian websites to advertise on please as I really do need someone. Preferably free advertising or cheap but I don't mind paying if there is a good chance of me finding somebody. I need a sharer for her not only financially but also because I have a good mare who is little more than a field ornament at the moment as my health prevents me from riding her to the standard she deserves.

Note to Admin; this is NOT advertising. I simply need links provided to equestrian websites that I can advertise on and desperation has made me ask here as I am well aware I run the risk of this being seen as advertising.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help :).

where abouts are you? People may know of good tack shops/feed merchants etc that may have slipped your mind.
Best of luck, hope you find someone soon

Ditto that.

The PC also do a round robin email to all members - I could help you get an ad on that if you like.

Could try RC too, they often have ads on their news letters.

I'm in Gloucestershire (I will edit my location as that would be a help! :o :D). I've thought of local tackshop but feed merchants hadn't occurred to me. Thank you :).

Thanks Marmalade :). I will PM you later on about the PC advert if that's okay? I have to go out for a bit now but will be around later so will PM you then.

I hadn't thought of RC either. Thanks :).

I found mine on rightequine.com but had a lot of response from preloved, newrider and my local tack shops. I just googled all the places to advertise for free and stuck one on each of them. If you want to pay a few on my yard found someone on horsetoloan.com.

However it wont be your horse at this time of the year the weather puts most people off, I had 30+ people reply to my add in summer and when that sharer gave up (in winter as she didnt have enough time with her children!!) i only got 5 replies, the weather is a huge turnoff! But good luck finding someone - hopefully someone will see through the weather, I have found someone even in all the snow and ice and she has stayed!
