Websites to look up ex racerhorses history?

Hey everyone,

just a quick question, what websites are there that you can look up a racehorses history?
I know of racingpost but is there any others?

If you go onto sportinglife website, then the racing part and type horses name into search.

attheraces is good- same sort of info as The racing post but more video footage.

I wrote to the trainers on mine's passport one replied and sent me a few photo's, Might be worth a try...although i do realize they probably thought i was a nutty weirdo!

If you know exactly what type of races your horse did you may be able to find a specialised site. After a year or so of trying to find pictures and a history for my boy, nickslynn on here suggested www.jumpingforfun.com (I think, will have to check because I am on the laptop not computer where I saved the address). It is a chaser/point to point site so if your racer did anything like that, the site is defo worth a go. The people are absolutely lovley, brilliantly helpful and acctually reply to posts with tons of info even if your new! A now have loads of info on my boy, such as where he raced/won/his owners and reports etc (The point to pointing bible is a brilliant source of info for chasers/p2p'ers -this is where most of the info came from - it is an annual and does a report on every horse that ran that year) Some people even remembered him racing and a lovley lady off the site sent me 5 beautifully presented photos completely free and someone else also gave me the contact email of a photographer who takes p2p photos in the wales area. I contacted him and he said that he remembered him racing and he dug out a load of photos of my boy. I am planning to buy a few from him. You never know, even if he didn't chase they might be able to point you in the direction of a helpful forum!

I don't own a racer yet. I am wanting to buy one and I just wanted to see her history before hand etc thank you all so much!
