...will it take a wee while for pony to adapt to the new angles? He was moving really freely on Thursday evening, but has had a couple of short striding moments since which made me wonder...

Mine had hind wedges off, pulled one 2 weeks ago and I removed the other a week ago, looked ok then was a bit short over the weekend and today looked ok.

Every time I look in the field mine is "playing" this generally involves balancing on hind feet whilst bolt upright, leaping off all fours and flat out galloping. Given he doesn't rear when sore seems to be coping!

I found my horses action changed with remedial shoes on and and with the change to barefoot anywhere would expect to see some adjustment period anyway.

Good luck with your horse!

Thank you - mine had wedges in front and I found that it was having an effect on his trot action. Hoping he can adapt to being without the wedges soon!
