Hi, I wonder if anyone can give me any guidance - my parents have a paved garden which now has grass and weeds growing between the slabs. My father has always removed this unsightly grass, but is now unable to do so (due to his age). Is there any weedkiller that we can put down that is safe for dogs? Parents have to let the dogs into the garden, so it is not feasible to ban them for a number of days. The last thing I want to do is poison their dachsies!
Thanks for your help!

Round up(Glyphosate) is fairly safe for people and dogs. Definately one of the safer for dogs once it has dried as it happens .Though I would still restrict them while spraying and for a few hours until it had set and the plants are dryed. Mostly mild stomach upsets seen when they eat the freshly applied product....

There is a risk with every chemical exposure but I meet a dog in that chose to chew on a bottle of round up taking in quite a lot of the liquid and he was fine without any treatment and the poison centre were unconcerned.

Alternatively boiling water over the weeds or vinegar also tend to be good for weeds.
