Hi, was having a wonder round field this morning and noticed that most of the netttles had wilted and were dying under the hedge, also some of the docks had curled up and appeared to also be dead along with a few buttercups and even brambles, really wierd, anybody else come across this or have any ideas on what might be causing it.
It looks like theyve been sprayed but they havent, and some of the docks in the same field are ok. Also found some thistles that have died and gone brown :-Z

One the horses will have been eating the nettles and two with all this hot weather and no rain I'm not surprised lol

no seems to be just the nettles round the hedges the docks are scattered round about 7 acres.
Also the tw horse that have been grazing on them have got like lots of little pimples inside the lips, they dont look sore or anything, just odd, we have obviously moved them off now to see if they go, may just be a coincidence, but who knows

I thought the same today while getting fencing put up in one of our fields, in one section the fern and a few docks and thistles have died off, not been sprayed and no animals have been in said field since last Autumn, had thought it was cause its been so dry but where they have died off is fairly green compared to the top of field (on a slop) where the grass is burnt but there are still some thistle and dock there - guess its just one of those strange things that I will never understand.
