Have been doing some interval training with the boys recently (school is a bog but have some lovely big fields which dont get boggy!)
Both have increased in fitness a bit and after a session of doing a bit today thought the last go i would have a proper gallop instead!
Toby has always struggles to extend to same as Harry but he really tried today

After i did my boys a lady on the yard asked if i would take her little coloured for a run as she is still learning and not confident enough to take him yet. He was a little reluctant at the start but had a little strecth even if nbot much of one!

Toby and Harry looked like they really enjoyed that and your position is great. Poor Clyde looked like he might need a lie down afterwards, bless him

Oh I wish I had a field like yours to do that in with Bodey! Great videos, what fun the boys had! Clyde is just so gorgeous, think he needs a mate to follow though!

It took frank ages to work out that lifting your knees higher doesnt make you go faster

Clyde thought that was far to much like hard work

Ahh they were great. I like the fact that you didn't just let Harry go straight away, he really looked like he was wanting to shoot off. Sometimes it's as well to instill a few manners like you did! And as for Clyde - well he won't win any races, but what a lovely boy - I liked his little buck at the beginning.

Lol! Every day in so many ways yours sounds so similar to mine!! I'm liking the fact at the moment that he is sitting on his haunches well in canter. Don't tell him that though, as he thinks he is doing it as a huffy I'm not getting my way evasion

He still does it if he is trying (and failing dismally! and being told he isnt allowed to!) to race mum's anglo!

hmm we are working on the canter atm, hoping new saddle is going to help as he struggles to maintain it for long enough to get a nice canter- walk..... which I want to sort as if we crack the simple changes I can have a bash at the elem to music this year

I dread to think what would happen if I took F out with an Anglo Arab at a gallop. I don't know if his ego would ever recover

Actually yes I do. The next day he'd be trying to beat them again. And he IS amazingly fast for his build. Who knows, maybe one day he would beat them, and then what?! Head wouldn't fit through stable door, I know that!

Please can you come and give me some lessons: we are at prelim - hopefully soon to be novice - and I would think you have been through most of the Frank evasions we have had/probably will invent in the future. You could fast-track us, what do you say?!

He's so built on his forehand (carthorse!) and is just a fun do a bit of everything horse, so I doubt we'll ever really do above novice. Nice to dream though.
