I noticed yesterday that in about 3 hours Kristal has 5 wees, now she always has a wee when she comes in her stable, i put this down to just liking to do so. Anyway yesterday she was having a wee when i went down the field to get her then had 2 in her stable, 1 out hacking and 1 more in stable when we got back! She has a habit of having a drink as we walk up the field when i get her in and i thought this is because she is just to lazy to walk up any other time.

She doesn't seem to be in any pain, her wee is totally normal and smells normal, she's acting her normal self and has a bright and shiney coat.

Does anyone have any ideas????

might be the autumn flush of grass ... my lad wees a lot during the spring and autumn flushes...i think the grass is full of water. I'm taking out twice as much 'wet' at the moment .

My mare wees a lot at this time of year, I think it is due to the grass being so moist etc. (although Han is also in foal too which can't be helping)
Since they moved on the new field I have noticed her bed is a lot wetter than usual.

Thanks everyone, I do now believe it could be her season, just surprized me as she has never been this bad before, although maybe i just didn't notice!! She has quite a few again today and yes winks after, she just seems to be weeing alot rather than the usual thick stuff i always associated with being in season. Anyway she seems very well and full of herself which i'm sure is not the sign of an ill horse! Keeping my eye on her... just in case!
