We are going to take a short (3 night) weekend break later this year taking the 2 Iggies with us, and I am looking for any recommendations of where to stay.

Looking in the South West, Devon/ Cornwall borders etc. Self-catering, walking distance of pub which welcomes dogs. Good walking directly on-site. Just the 2 of us, so only 1 bedroom required.

There are lots of nice places on the web, but just thought I'd see on here if anyone can recommend anywhere.

Can't help but don't you think you should post some pictures of your lovely doggies

Don't know any particular names of places, but Dartmoor is great for walking. The pub in Belstone allowed dogs last time I was there, but has shortish opening hours. Belstone, Sticklepath and Chagford are all right on scenic bits of Dartmoor. Okehampton itself isn't particularly scenic, but great for getting at Dartmoor. Mary Tavy, Peter Tavy and Brentor are all also lovely areas and there are some good pubs - the Elephant's Nest comes highly recommended.

Lots of the pubs around here are relatively dog friendly for well behaved dogs.

If you don't mind staying in a town, I can recommend Tavistock - nice chinese restuarant/takeaway, right on the edge of Dartmoor, and obviously has pubs...

Its not really walking but we took Bugsy on a canal boat and then around the norfolk the next year in a boat. He loved it and spend all day walking beside the boat with me while mam and dad drove (?) the boat. He loved it
