I can't believe what a horrible weekend it's been!!
Found out that yest a friend of mine from a previous yard had to have her beloved mare pts Yest after a kick in the field broke her leg. Such a lovely horse and so so sad .
Just as the sicky cold inside feeling was passing my closest friend called to say her boy had done his check ligament for the third time.. She has always said that if/ when it goes again she will make the decissions to PTS as he is a horse who loves to work and gets very depressed when out of work and doesn't cope well with box rest.
I'm now trying to psych myself up to say my goodbyes to him and support her through it. She is talking about getting vet out weds.
Don't think I can take much more ...
