Haven't seen a weekend plans thread for ages so thought I'd try to resurrect it :)

Tomorrow morning I'm off on a Champagne Breakfast Ride. We get a glass of bubbly when mounted then set off like a hunt but in 2 groups - a jumping ride and a non-jumping ride. Was going to do the jumping but my friend has decided that her horse is just too crazy for it, so we're doing the non-jumping one, then when we all return we get a full English breakfast!

Not sure about Sunday, probably school, but on Monday a friend and I are planning to get some xc schooling in, although if the rain that's been forecast arrives, they will probably close the course :(

What's everyone else up to?

the champagne ride sounds good. :smile3:

Today I've got the final of the grassroots showing series my yard's been running and I'm stealing one of dad's horses to do the training show afterwards.
Tomorrow we're jumping. It's my last time out before Blair :eek3: so hoping it goes okay.

I really fancied the champagne ride but we're off to Firle today for our first attempt at BE100 Regionals this year. First event since end of June so hoping it all goes OK!

I used to choose hunts by how good the breakfast were so I approve wholeheartedly of champagne rides! Sounds lovely. Hope the weather holds out for everybody. If it's not checking it down then I'll be doing the slightly soggy gustard wood sp ride on Sunday. Pre hunt prep!

Today I will be mostly attempting to clean my poobald. Tomorrow we have dressage - test is BE100 test 102 which is complex enough so will be happy if we can get around the 65% mark!

Today i have walked out CF, been been for breakfast at local small airfield, with DH, liverymum and her husband, then helped liverymum sort out her electric fencing (also popping into next door yard to check her 2 as she is away and stupidly is paying LD to attend to them twice daily, tho she (LD) didn't come yesterday morning or today before i left at 1pm).
Tomorrow have old friend bringing grandaughter over to cuddle TF in the morning.
No fixed plans otherwise, tho need to keep CF marching daily :)

Auslander, George likes to play in water too, him & Alf are quite similar!
Star, I've got another friend in the BE 100 at Firle hope you're both in different sections and win them:)

Champagne ride was fun but I'm shattered now! Champers first thing in the morning does rather go to your head though :D

Ted the not so much a Twit anymore, is doing his first pleasure ride. Ullenhall Charity Ride in aid of Birmingham Children's Hospital.

This Sunday and for any HHo's that may be going I will apologise for any inappropriate behaviour now.

You wouldn't believe it, going by these videos, but it took me nearly 8 months to persuade him to set foot in that ford! Nowadays, he makes a beeline for puddles so he can have a splash, and he charged into the ford today (we haven't been there for over a year) without even thinking about it!

We took sick note pony out to another dressage to do a walk and trot; aim was to behave in warm up and go nicely at a new venue. She was 2nd (out of 7) and was super so very pleased

Day off tomorrow as Im at a christening, and hopefully gallops on Monday :) before I start my new job on Tues!

Well, we didn't win but we did qualify for Badders - yay!

Yay well done :biggrin3: My friend was 6th in her section, and another friend was in the same section as you but ended in 8th (not sure if that qualifies either of them for Badders, will have to ask them).

Only top 5 in my section went through. Top 6 on the other one.

They said as top 20% was 5.6 only to 5th place but we think it should be rounded up to 6th!

There were only 27 in my section (the hc rider doesn't count) so that's 5.4 and they will round down to 5. There were 28 in the other section so 5.6 which gets rounded up to 6. Have been borderline in or out myself several times now so become a bit of an expert on the numbers qualifying.

That's great to know, they told her on the day that she hadn't qualified but I think she's going to raise it with be as she thought she should have done.

Wouldn't rely on the guys on the day knowing all the finer details. Check with BE tomorrow but that's how it's always worked since I've been doing it. Couldn't list the number of times I've been 5th or 6th and snuck in or just missed out!
