I haven't seen another thread so I'll kick it off.
We had a jumping lesson today and really drilled down into changing leads over a fence, Henry can go left to right easy but struggles more to land left. We worked out he is crooked through his body when he jumps so I need to keep his shoulders underneath him to keep him straight to help him land on the correct lead. Lots of home work there! We also focused on keeping his neck soft and me riding to allow him to use himself better over the jumps.
Keeping his neck soft really helped him use himself better and helped get the correct leads too. It also kept me out of his way and he jumped really well as a result. So i need to do less except keep him soft and stay out of his way!
Tomorrow I'll do a flat ride and pack to bring the horses home from agistmemt then Sunday I have an adult rider rally and the horses come home! I'm so looking forward to having them back.
