Hi everyone,

Hope someone may be able to recommend somewhere to go on a riding holiday in New Forest just a short break? We're not to bothered if it's through New Forset or a beach ride just a full day or for a couple of days? Would like a heavy horse experience but can't seem to find any in New Forset, so ifthat would be great.
Thanks,

Stacey.

Burley have a couple of stables I think, but don't know them myself.

Arniss stables at Godshill ( between Fordingbridge and Ringwood ) are supposed to be good with great hacking, and there are log cabins at Sandyballs to rent ( yes, don't laugh, its really called that! ) is just 5 mins away.

Hope you find somewhere, its a great area for riding/walking/cycling etc.

Unless its changed the heavy horse centre didn't used to do rides, you just go round and see he horses and stroke etc. Years ago they had Icelandic ponies there to ride but hat stopped :( I used to be at Burley Villa Riding School - they do English forest rides but also now ave a western yard which offers a range of different ides out from just hacks to ranch days!
