Do you plan what work you do with your horse each week, like how many times you hack, jump & do flat work a week?
This week i have only ridden in the school mon - thurs 2days bareback and fri day off. Only jumped on one of the days i rode bareback and the 2 jumps were very low.
Had my lesson today which is flat work and jumping (out in the field today), did two practice jumps then a small course, jumped first jump of course, landed then he bucked and couldn't decide if he was going left or right as i was tying to get back in the saddle. somehow i managed to stay on.
I think this was probably excitement as he is very keen jumping and was fine but strong for the rest of the lesson. I had wondered if it was because of the saddle i have borrowed but it seems to fit fine and he was ok jumping for the rest of the lesson.

I don't really plan but I do try to vary his work. He has Monday off usualy, then tues morn hack, wed eve school, thurs morn hack, fri eve lesson, Saturday perhaps a day off or Show or lunge, Sunday hack in morn unless show. And of course it all depends on the weather!!

I usually hack mid week aswell as weekends, do flatwork and jumping but saddle is being repaired and because of other things it just didn't happen this week.
He has only put in a small buck before with me, today was a big buck.

Not really work but ive been walking my youngster 2yr old out every day for up to a hour to get the weight off her for the showring. My ridden girl gets hacked out 5 days a week for 2-3 hours a day before work or after depending on time. The schooled once a week and long reined for 10 mins once a week as well, she doesnt get real time off due to leg issues needs to be kept active!
