Turns out a weeny black schiplet is remarkably hard to see in the dark. Apart from me treading on him he's also at risk of being bowled up to by unsuitable dogs because their owners spot me but not the 3kg invisible spud hovering around my ankles.

He's sprouting some lovely spitzy fuzz so doesn't need a coat and the mesh vests with LEDs in I use for the sibes don't come in tiny spud sizes. I have a bucket of stuff from our days of racing in the dark but it's all too big and bulky.

Anyone spotted any miniature hi viz kit?

Three and a bit, probably half way to adult weight, eep! I am still a bit freaked out by how small he is.

I was looking at things like the Hurtta Dazzle harness but they have wide chest and saddle plates, even the smallest size would swamp him at the minute. I have a tiny LED keyring on his collar at the minute but because it's dangly it drags on the floor a lot - he's really that weeny!

what about Perfect Fit? a reflective lead?

that is tiny lol. I'd be terrified of him getting stuck somewhere or tripping me up! I was at a friends house recently with her whippet and border collie and I couldn't believe how tiny they were.

My 7k Shih has a flashing collar I can pop on. She also has padded hi viz rug but that's xs so will be too big, no idea if they go smaller.

My collar is like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rechargeab..._1?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=8QFH1R3QVYHGGQ997VR4
It the colour that seems to show up best.

Friend has flashing collar on her yorkie from fleabay, shes also got a mini hi vis coat from Harry Hall, hers is 4kg. Worth a look?

Edited to add, just remembered another friend who attaches tiny Kokoba flashing lights to existing dog harness for her little one.

i have the same problem, my jet black terrier is 7kg and i bought a flashing collar for him so he can be seen . i also have a harness that has white stripes on it but i am thinking of going to somewhere like halfords to see if i can find stick on reflective strips to put on it as well... most in my village have seen it now and are used to seeing a bright green halo running towards them..i got mine from amazon, i think is was £8,99, well worth it and it is rechargeable

Thanks folks - all of the flashing collars linked are too big for him (he really is a midget!) but I've found a very similar flashing lead. Hopefully that will be enough to announce 'tiny spud here, please don't squash me'. o_O
