I think its where the new colt has been playing and grabbing his neck over his crest. It is not a cut but scabby. It has the fur still on with the scabs underneath and has swollen ever so slightly. It is weeping rather than bleeding and i have a feeling that soon the hair will fall out along with the scabs. Anyone any ideas as to what the best stuff to put on it??? I have quite a big show in two weeks so need it to heal by then!!! apart from i want to it heal soon so its not hurting him anymore

Also any ideas what i can out on his mane to stop the little tinker grabbing his neck???

I know it sounds corny but my boys always cutting themselves and so bought a pot of "wondergel" (I know sounds like a USA advert!!) but it has antiseptic, hair growth, arnica, teatree and all sorts in it - had a cut on Friday and hair just starting to grow again now on one leg! Also my friend swears by camrosa, but have to order on line. Wondergel from tack shops and in blue bottle. Good luck in your show - Could try a snuggy hood if can get small enough, bless, to stop from biting and coat in anti-crib stuff?

theres some stuff thats supposed to be really good, will try to find out what its called, someone called bailey (?) on here is the distributor

Just try and keep it clean i guess but what ever you do don't use wound power incase the cut is infected, because the power contains the wound

good luck at your show !!!
