Managed to catch Wayne at lunchtime on the TV, looked good. Just looking at the updated results, how on earth did the Australian Girl lying last manage to get only 10%!!!! Anyone see it??

There was an Australian woman who retired (I think she was meant to be doing pirouettes or something or other, the horse was resisting and then just flipped out, going backwards etc. - was watching on the streaming video). That was probably a test worth about 10%! Poor lady though, to get to WEG and have to retire because your horse is having an 'off' day! What a day to pick!
My instructor is watching too, her trainer is currently 28th on 58.083%. Apparently it was uncertain whether she would go or not so at least she qualified, and got there and did her test!
Damn I wish I had Sky!

Yeah, I set my Sky + for all the coverage over the next 2 weeks. I recorded the dressage this morning, and I had missed a load of the tests already because bloomin' Eurosport had decided to show it a bit earlier!

Gosh - I am the only one that thinks that Laura will be slightly disapointed with her mark. She and Douglas are more than capable of scoring a 70% - but then as the australia women's horse showed, they can be unreliable!

I wouldn't have expected Wayne to be ahead of her - but well done Lorenzo!

Poor Kelly Layne

...
Unfortunately Amoucher has a reputation for this sort of behaviour

But when he's actually being a good boy he's without a doubt one of our best combinations.

Someone on another forum posted that he'd smashed part of the arena before he entered, and from then on Kelly couldn't hold him.

Whatever happened, it's such a shame, they really are a talented pair, just need to sort his brain out

Darn , the 3rd American has just posted 72.708, by my maths unless Brentina goes very badly and Sandy Phillips very very well, they have got us beat to the bronze........

Anky in second place with 75%. Do the Germans have it in the bag I wonder?

Looks like Kyra K must have done a nice test, she's just in above Emma H. Fingers crossed for Sandy and Lara now.

If I've done the maths right, Sandy and Lara need to score over 70.874 for us to beat the Danes and 71.25 for us to beat the Swedes. Good luck and finger crossed for them, but a tough one

Sandy got 68.292, currently in 20th place. Not good enough I'm afraid! But what unpredictable results. I don't think Andreas Helgstrand and Matine were tipped for a result like that! Nice to see the gorgeous Briar up there as well.

What a pity - I had hoped SP would be 70+, although it is easy to say that horses are unpredictable, why is it that so often the Dutch, German, Swedish etc are so damnably good!!!!
