What a fantastic result, and a fantastic horse / rider combination and Jos made every other horse look easy to ride too. A true horseman
He was the outsider in the JO due to the course, and he had the toughest draw...but still pulled an amazing round out of the bag and put enough pressure on the others to force mistakes.
Which got silver and bronze? You wouldn't have put money on anything getting past Shutterfly in a jump-off! And I also think it's a bit of a shame for Authentic having jumped so amazingly consistently through the show.
Well done to Jos! I love Cumano, he's just stunning.
And well done to Edwina for putting in the best perfromance ever by an Aussie showjumper, with almost no help from her national federation..

ditto that completely... i saw him riding in one of the warm up arenas as well when i was there and was much impressed! (more than i can say for one of the other riders in that final
- however they were all brilliant in getting there and getting each others horse's round without faults ('cept for the unlucky one for edwina))
Jos is a brilliant horseman and I agree that watching him in a warm up arena is where you realise what a fantastic and thoughtfull rider he is and he is always one of the first walking horses around in the morning at shows relaxing them. He is also great with young horses and foals and I have seen him get really involved with them. He has stuck with Cumano and I was told that this was one of the reasons he had to leave Zangersheide. So a well deserved result as it was a combination of both horse and rider working together.
The commentator is very well known abroad and worked hard during the show and I bet he will not live that down!
