I think it depends on the horse - I used to have a 13.3 NF and I wouldn't have put more than 10 1/2 st on him. My friend has a 14hh fell and I would say he could carry about 15st no problem...

I have a 14hh highland and she will carry up to 15 stone.
Depends whether the rider is competent or not
Beginners will ride heavier than a competent rider

I have a cob type Welsh D who is 14.3hh, he can carry up to 15 stone comfortably (including tack), however I wouldn't put a novice rider of more than 12 stone on him.
My Welsh B cross Arab whose 13.2hh can carry 12 stone for short periods (less than an hour) mostly in walk and trot fine but I would say thats her absolute maximum.

15 stone? Would also depend on ability of rider. 15 stone learning to ride would be the limit, but a heavier experienced person would probably be OK too.

a very horsey vet told my mum (12 years ago) that she could exercise my 12.1 hh welsh pony i had that could get quite fresh, and she must have weighed 11 stone. (but she never did) your cob could comfortabley carry 12-13 st but u dont want her to have carry any more than what is comfortable. it also depends if who ever rides her 'rides' her or sit like a sack of potatoes.
