Weight gain food for older dogs?

Roxy the Rottie is now 11 and is starting to lose weight very slowly. Everything is fine apart from this. Eating fine, good appetite, teeth okay, bowel habits normal, energy levels the same as they were when we got her three years ago i.e. pretty lively. Normal on walks. I just think that she needs something extra now that she’s older.

Senior dogs need more protein in their diet to maintain muscle mass.

You could try adding extra meat or fish to her food and see if that helps.

If she eats kibble it might be easier for you to change to a food for seniors, Orijen for seniors contains 38% protein.
