I worry to... its having horses!!

I find my horse very difficult to put on weight to, he often wont eat! Have u tried adding oil, i use soya oil as well as my alfa oil and have found that made a huge difference!!

I think the amount of worry depends on the horse! Some horses keep to the same weight no matter what, I have 2 like this - they never seem to change! Whereas I also have one who can get fat quickly and another who is always slightly underweight! Im only really worried about the underweight one as he is who I event so needs it, but he can be so damn picky about his food!

spoke to dengie feed people she is 14.3 hh and now on 2kg alfa a oil over 3 feeds a day,and . on some hay in addition to grass has soya oil and vit and min supplement and still ribby. they said would take 4-5 weeks and option to add some alfa beet if no weight gain. she does eat slowly and i had hoped spring grass would help

my tb eventer has suddenly wacked weight on, and i have no idea why!!it has been a constant battle to keep weight on him, and now he is perfect and that changed in literally a week. I dont know if it is the grass, but ive been feeding him boiled barley, alfa A oil, allen page C&C(just to use it up really, i dont think it did anything for him and he didnt like it!) topspec balancer and sunflower seeds(only horse who doesnt like them...)so its either the boiled barley and topspec balancer as i recently put him on them, or just the grass. good luckx
