My older girl has already started dropping weight She’s 18, had teeth done a few weeks ago to double check, nothing to report.
She’s on about a 15 odd acre field with about 6/7 others so should be plenty of grass to go around. I’ve upped her to 2 feeds a day consisting of soothe and gain, AA oil, a mug of linseed and she’s on a balancer.
Has anyone got experience with weight loss as a cushings indicator ? She has no real other signs, no long curly coat that doesn’t shed she’s part TB so her summer coat is fine and part cob so her winter coat is decent but she always sheds out well. She’s started moulting like mad and she’s been rugged at night as soon as it started dropping colder at night. She’s now coming in for a few hours in the day to have a top up of haylage .
The vet is already booked for Thursday, I’ve asked to take bloods to see if they can see anything obvious.
Any experiences or advice welcome!
Ps she hates grass nuts and/or dried grass ?
