Hes just under 14hhs at the wither and full up 14.2hh on his bum. I've always thought he was about 400kgs, but having seen the thread with about the overweight shetland today, I'm wondering if I'm way out  Hes a real HW, 10 inches of bone, back like a table, apple bum etc. Hes not overweight, I can feel his ribs but hes only 3yr old so not in work so is in soft condition. Whats he likely to weigh??

Frankiecob I would not be surprised if your boy is 500kg. Maybe you can get a weigh bridge - feed companies sometimes bring them to your yard if you ask them nicely. Or the vet will have one if you can travel him there.

Mine was 14 hh at 4 years, also 10 inches of bone and very flat backed. When I got him he weigh taped at 570, but is now 430. I am trying to get him to 400kg
