Does anyone know anywhere that stocks weight tapes that measure up to at least 800kg?

all the ones Ive found only measure up to 600kg which is a pain in the bum when my horses are around 670kg and 750kg.

Trying to keep track of horses weights and sick of measuring baler twice against the too small weight tape!

Thank you!

im sure mine goes passed 600kgs - well it must as i weighed mine in at 625 the last time i weighed her- its at the yard so will have to check for you in the morning - well actually ive got 2 - ill have a look at them both. If they both go up to the same weight you can have 1 of them if you would like?

Let me know if you find one - my weight/height tape goes up to 625 and Cairo is around the 760 - 780 mark - the tape is long enough, just not the marks. What I do is make a note of where the tape goes and work out the extra weight by manually adding on the marks at the end.

I also found this on a draft horse site which may help.

Start by measuring the heart girth as described earlier - measure in inches. then measure the length of the horse from the center of the chest down along the side of the horse to the furthermost point of the hip (back of the thigh). using these two measurements - there is a formula that is pretty accurate to guess the weight. multiply the heart girth times itself. then multiply that number by the length. divide this number by 330 and that gives you the weight. i have found this to be more accurate that the weight tape as a general rule. (i may be off on the exact points to measure the length of the horse - but you get the idea)

Hello,

Wonder if anyone can help, I'm looking for a saddle cloth for a cob normand - he's a big lad and I find that the largest cloth I can find doesn't clear the bottom of the saddle flaps. We're coming up to summer and 1 day/2 day rides and i don't want the flaps to rub his sides.
If anyone ca point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful. Many thanks
