so I moved to a new yard at the weekend and have taken my Shetland with my big 2. he's been in the field next to them before but with other ponies so never been too fussed by the biggies!

well he's fenced off as there's sooo much grass and this morning him being 32 inches and my 3yr old 16'2 gelding were stood opposite each other with their boys hanging out! then they started biting each other, obviously the big boy appeared to be being really mean, coz he's so much bigger but when he let go they just nipping at each other. I thought if the mini boy was hurt he'd get out of the way but he just kept going back!! neither of them had their ears back or anything, was more like playing but just wondered if this is normal boy behaviour? I'm so used to having a mare haha or the gelding out with only mares!

Lads being lads with the aim to floor your opponent. Your mini should win as its easier for him to get to the back of your big lads legs!
