My gelding, Wings, is out 24/7, and the other day was rolling in the snow, which I thought nothing about. Today, when I came up to the stables, one of the liveries told me that she thought he was dead, because he was flat out lying in the snow. But when she walked over, he got up and was fine. I got him in, gave him hay, his feed, and turned him out again. I left about 10 mins later, and when looking in the field, he was lying down again, but not flat out. It didn't seem like he was colicing or anything, as he was eating fine etc. but it just seemed weird to me.
He has a blanket clip, and is in a heavy weight rug with a lightweight underneath, which is checked daily. He wasn't really hot or anything, the base of his ears were cool if anything. Does anyone know why he may be doing this, or is he just weird haha?
Thanks
