Just took Holly, my 5 year old collie x springer for a walk and several times she seemed to trip and then limped for a few strides and then got better. Obviously we quickly turned for home. Can't see anything in the foot, but will have another look when I get home from the office. Leg feels fine, no heat or swelling. It is a front leg that is affected.

She's never done this before - any ideas what it could be? Annoyingly I'm away for 10 days from Friday morning, but can get a friend to take her to the vets if she keeps doing it...bit of a worry though;-(

If you can't squeeze her in before you go away I would maybe rest her for the ten days and if it re-occurs, or it manifests itself before you go away again take her to the vet and have her x-rayed, with a view to looking at her shoulder/elbow area. If you get a friend to do it please make sure they are given written/explicit instructions and ask them to take a pic of the plates on the light box with a mobile phone so you can see them.
