my nutty pony is better riden in a headcollar then a bridle n its not the tack cause his teeth hav been checked n weve tired different bits n bridles y is this xx
Different horses respond better to different areas of pressure. Maybe your pony has a sensitive mouth. All horses have different oral conformation, perhaps your pony is difficult to bit/more sensitive due to his build.
Perhaps you could ride in a bitless bridle instead if you feel it suits him better.
he has been riden all his life(hes 17) in a bridle lol so i think its weird tht he works better in a headcollar and he was broken in by the breeder and a bunch of young lassies so hes not a natural horsemanship thingy lol xx
You should try riding him in a bitless bridle ( might be a bit safer haha), he might find the headcollar a bit softer so would be worth a shot trying the bitless xxx
