Rumour has it Michael Ryan has withdrawn from the irish WEG eventing team due to injury and is gonna be replaced by Geoff Curran on The Jump Jet who both have just completed burghley. With the travel involved does this seem a little crazy? 2 4*s in a month?

Umm, well no - if this were the case it would be between Geoff and Jayne, because there are now going to be 6 horses travelling.

In which case it would be Jayne as I believe there is a rule which says you cannot compete at another championship level event without so much time in between them.

anyone else share the views of eventing nation

Yes, I do. I think it's a very big deal to ride a horse round Burghley (and not just hack round, not that anyone would want to anyway!) and then take it to WEG 27 days later. I know it's short format again obviously but it's a hell of a lot to ask of a horse.
Surely Ireland must have another experienced, qualified combination that they could take instead, on a bit of a wild card?
