After speaking to the farrier this morning he said, ''fair play, you have your work cut out''.
The enormity of how far I have already come and have left to go with my new boy hit me! i.e. he wouldn't leave the yard and would always bolt to the field gate with tack still on.
I've always known that he was set in his ways but have been patient with him and managed to get him to settle down alot. It's just the first time anyone has ever said it to me and it made me feel abit low.
So I wanted to take the chance to say well done to everyone who gets up early every day to look after their horse in rain, snow etc. We all work so hard to make sure they are happy and deserve a pat on the back when times are rough!
In hindsight though, farrier suggested that i have his back checked as this may help. Just checked the symptons online and sounds like he has all of them. So fingers crossed that if that's the case, he'll be right as rain shortly (unlike his new mum who is still recovering from car crash!).
