Came 2nd tonight behind our ex instructor Charlotte on Carl's horse Valegro, well done especially as it mentions she is UK bred by The Half Moon Stud. If I could get into photobucket I would post the pics I took!

Delphie is by Dimaggio ex of a Westhall mare. Well done to everyone though it was a very interesting evening, especially seeing the Grey Andy x Stallion (a 4yo in the demo). Seems they are using them because of their trainablity crossed with the WB paces/movement. Even my friend who knows nothing about horses except they smell & cost a lot of money enjoyed the evening.

showmaker came last in 6yro class.

agree Half Moon Delphi was terrific, just my type- if she wasnt behind the vertical at times, i'm sure te result would have been a lot closer.

having never seen Showmaker before, but obviously i have heard all of the hype, i was really disappointed with his performance.

total lack of rhythm and regularity in his trot as well as lots of lateral movement through his head and neck.
behind the leg for all of his canterwork which made him extremely static and, imo, was also the cause of his 4 or 5 fluffed changes.
maybe the ocassion got to the rider? certianly didn't look like Showmaker was being difficult or obnoxious, just rather flat with no polish.
