Well done, Sainsburys

perhaps one day the general public wont be able to buy fireworks and we could all get a bit of peace.....although i wish it had happened while my lurcher was alive as every october/.nov was hell for her..she was petrified ...my 2 i have now are not bothered but i still have all windows shut, curtains drawn and tv up loud...just in case they do get affected

Luna has never been bothered by fireworks, and this year will be our first with Bo, so a case of wait and see really.

Aled was absolutely terrified of them, and got slowly worse each year we had him. In one way, I am glad he’s no longer with us, as last year was horrendous for him. He was so scared, he was leaking urine as just could not bring himself to go into the garden with both of us with him unless it was well past midnight when they’d been quiet for a length of time. We did say last year that if he was still with us, we would have to get something from the vet for him.

One of my old labs absolutely adored them (thought they were some kind of game drive thing to catch and would hurtle about wagging if they went off (wedding venue very near us used to have them regularly). Second lab wasnt bothered either way.

Out of our two current dogs, our little one hates fireworks, and never took any comfort from the two labs. she has got a little better with time. She still doesnt like them, but doesn't panic anymore, just runs to me and snuggles under my arm (albeit worried) until they finish. The latest lab hasnt really heard many, but doesn't serm to notice.

I dont understand why firework manufacturers don't make an animal friendly firework that is quiet.
