Just thought I'd say VERY well sat this morning!
Your horse did a whopper of a spook and spin and was on the verge of bogging off, and I thought you not only handled it well but rode him well. And you say you are a novice!?? Most people would have been all unshipped from the saddle!!.
That dog walker is the most peculiar man, (hat included!!) and as for his dogs - well they cause no end of problems so your horse must have sensed it - hence the original spook. Both myself and my mother admired you and your horse very much so I just have to say so here. (not sure if you are a HHO member thou).
Hope your heartbeat is back to normal and the rest of your ride went without problems.
