*raises hand* Yes I had tears in my eyes, especially when they mentioined that Zara was friends with Sherelle Duke - that really had me bawling!!
My poor dog got such a shock when Zara finished her round and i started jumping up screaming and shouting, Thank God OH is out fishing.
Zara was sooooo cool and collected what an inspiration to us all
Well done to them all, especially Zara. Of all the entrants in that competition she will have been under the most pressure and scrutiny from day one.
How proud must her parents' must be and I bet her Grandparents shed a tear or two at home.
Our future looks bright for the Olympics but of course a long way to keep horses sound and happy. Well done to Ollie Townend too, I saw him at Bicton and he has that aura of greatness about him so few ever get.
Phew, about time I put the roast in the Aga, I've done b all today except watch the tv!
Brilliant absolutely brilliant!!! Stunning riding from Zara, even though there were a few sticky moments! The look on her face when she'd realised she'd done it, really was lovely to see, i nearly cried!! Especially after the tragedy of sherelle dukes death last week, what a way to remember her good friend!!
I have to say i thought this WEG eventing was superb!! Much better then athens olympics, a real trial!
I thought it was lovely when Zara was interviewed she said that she was determined to win for Sherelle Duke. She was fighting back the tears. It must of been a very emotional day for them all
Fantastic results for both team and individual. Although disappointed that we didn't get team gold - felt the Germans rode the best they have as a team for a long while.
And am I right in thinking everyone in the GB squad got a clear round? (bar Zara but then 1 down for Toytown is fab)
I also know what Boss means. It was not perhaps copybook, but Job Done! Toytown was very generous a couple of times but he was also a bit too relaxed about it at times. This sport as everyone knows requires Good Luck as much as all the other ingredients.
