Mose's sharer took him to dressage today, where he did really, really well!! he's coming on leaps and bounds and is beginning to relax and soften and listen to his rider. His canter still needs some work as he can be a little tense and tends to hollow and drop onto the forehand, but that's nothing some schooling won't put right!! Here are some before and after pics showing his progress.....it's taken a long time but is so, so worth the wait!! (I refuse to tie his head down as "advised to by certain show judges")
couple of weeks after he arrived - note the fat!! He was backed just after this pic was taken.
brought back up after a holiday - note rider's shocking position
first outing to a dressage practice day at local club - I have NO idea why my stirrups were so short that day???!!!
very tense and hollow in these pics..
starting to get the idea feb 09
Today can you see a difference or is it just me??
and full credit to his sharer without whom i'd never have got anywhere!!
he's still very much a work in progress but dressage is all about training is it not?!!!
homemade apple pie and ice cream for reading this post!!
