well its been about 2 montsh now since i last rode my Princess Pony before losing her, and yesterday i finally got back in the saddle
i cant say it was easy to do, and i nearly pulled out about 15 times over the last week! but, i am really glad i did it. to make it even better, the horse i rode was a freshly backed nearly 4yo, who i was midwife to and nursed him through ill health when he was 6 weeks old (back in the day when i worked with horses. crikey i miss that), so i have a very strong attachment to him. he was very wobbly and not certain what straight lines or circles were but absolutely safe as houses - which is surprising coz his mothers still a nut job!
i was a bit emotional about it, but i guess that was part wishing it was Shadow, and part thinking 'oh my god i'm riding enzo! he's a baby!'
so just a message to say yay me
