I rode the new TB mare - Ada - yesterday
the one i was a bit wary of because of the 'instructions' she came with:
1. Always lunge her first
2. Always get on from the mounting block
3. Always ride her in the bungee
4. Don't pull on her mouth AT ALL
I did however lunge her first in side reins just so if she was going to leap about she could do this on the lunge.
My instructor gave me 30mins lesson on Ada. Just walking and a bit of trotting and trying to get her to accept the contact and flex and bend a little, as she's obviously never been taught anything about it before (you can tell this from just looking at her weedy neck!) she wasn't too bad, especially as she hadn't been ridden for a month previously.
No ridden photos unfortunately as OH was walking the dog
Have another lesson on Saturday so will see how she goes then too.
