Well I went to see the horse yesterday night and it was brilliant. She's everything I can ask for and more, she's perfect on the ground, needs a little work schooling wise but it will be done, and she's a good doer, no shoes, and lives out! I was surprised  ... I think the OH is in love too so he is keen, now its just determined of a vetting to give it the all clear and then I can buy her. I am excited!

Sounds great, if i were looking for a new horse I would really try to get one that went shoesless and lived out. Saves a fortune!

Fingers crossed for the vetting.

Thanks Brandy. I am just waiting for the owner to get backto me today and then hopefully I can organise when she can be vetted. :D

Fantastic news. So pleased for you. Nice that she's going to be enconomical to run, wish my latest one was. Looking forward to photo's.....

Hope she passes vetting with flying colours for you. Sounds like you & OH are both smitten!

Lucky for me! Think he was getting sick of me talking about this mare so much, but now hes met her he likes her as much as I do. :D

Just another quick update for those who tempted me in seeing this horse when I posted the thread about my OH (who has now said he wants to pay full half of everything regardless as he wants a share in something he knows I love). I will find out at the end of the week if she will be mine or not as another person is off to see her and its down to me or her. So fingers crossed now :)

Why let someone else jump in? You'll miss her! Leave a deposit if you want her!!!

Agree that if you can leave a deposit, don't let her pass you by if she is the one that you want.

if she has a sale why is she insisting on someone else viewing??

that doesnt seem very fair to you IMO.

you saw her first, you want her, simple

what would happen if the other people want her too?

she might insist one of you makes a higher offer?

Sometimes owners care about the home their horse is going to and don't always sell to the first person that shows an interest. I vetted prospective buyers for my 2 year old and he went to the second person that came to view that wanted him as I thought she was the best person for him.

Yep totally agree. My friend put her horse up for sale at a v reasonable price, had lots of enq and 2 people come the next day. He's been sold to the second person, not because the first was awful (she was luffly) but because the second fitted the horse's personality better in her opinion.

I don't put my tea in any old mug I grab first out the cupboard - I hunt around for my favourite cup....

I understand her wanting the best for her horse, I think we all would really :)

Just the suspense is killing me now. :D

Already discussed with the owner that I would want a full vetting and she is more then open for that. SO maybe but I don't think so.
