...to clean my horse for my OH, while he goes out with colleagues, so he can go hunting tomorrow whilst i stand outside a railway station and play christmas carols with the brass band.... in the FREEZING cold....

think i've got something very wrong here....might need to rethink things a bit!

Well.... having been told to have a shortish day (like be back by 2 latest) OH set off up to the meet from where i dropped him with the trailer... i then went off to muck out before a shower and change and off to play christmas carols with the band....

i returned to the stables frozen solid from sitting attached to a limp of metal (cornet) for 2 hours, at 2.45 behind a trailer (in a panic cos OH was meant to be hacking home and OMG what's happened that someones brought him home....)... out came OH and pony - plastered in mud but otherwise fine. on questioning it seems that they were will 5 miles from home at 2, and were offered a lift home.

sounds like he had a good day, given he's never hunted my horse before, and Ron came out the stable on sunday morning all full of beans... longer day next time me thinks!
