I fell off today for the first time. I say fell I was actually rather unceremoniously bucked off. Now all my well earned confidence has shattered & I'm back thinking about the what ifs !!!! Aaaaargh!!! My normally unspooky horse has become spooky over the past couple of days & today did a mega one bucking at the same time. Just wondering if anyone else's horse became suddenly spooky ? She does buck occasionally but this was real get off buck. X

The damp mild conditions have kept the grass like rocket fuel. The cold snap coming in tonight and tomorrow will with a bit of luck start knocking some of the goodness out of it.

I phoned mum this morning and told her not to go into any of the fields with youngsters in as they all seem to have contracted idiotitis.

Not that I fell off but my three have a severe case of idiotitis crossed with stupiditis at the moment, to the point that I would quite happily sell all three of the little effers and be done with it all - I cant catch them, and when I get within 5 metres they all start fly kicking, farting and galloping off!! Completely fallen out of love with the whole idea of having horses at the moment and the saddler is coming with the new saddle for my daughter's pony that we have been waiting weeks and weeks for so really bad timing  hubby has just told me to have a few days off from them, he will check on them after tonight. They live out so not too much to do other than make sure they all have 4 legs, water etc am and pm!!

Oh and my grass is poxy...my front field is like a muddy bog with hardly any grass, the grass that is there in the back of the paddock is long as I thought that this would help reduce chance of slipping but it is yellow and coarse so assumed that there would be nothing in it. They get lami so cant afford for it to be good but they are still putting on weight so the good stuff must be hidden somewhere?!
