I'm sitting here tapping away one handed as my left side is broken!
Basically whilst ar Solihull yesterday I managed to break my left collar bone and get a hairline fracture in my left ankle.
However, it could have been a lot worse and at least the big grey one is OK.
I was warming up for the sj and had already popped over the x pole a coule of times. Coming down to the upright, I had him on a good stride, but for some reason he just didn't pick up his feet. Crashed through the fence and went down on his knees throwing me out the side door. Then to add insult to injury, he obviously had some momentum in the fall as he the rolled over me. Saw that bit happening in slow motion, and looking back I suppose it was quite scary!
So, to cut a long story short, didn't get to go sj or xc, will be out of the saddle for at least 4 weeks and have been told o hardly move around at all - something hat is going to send me potty!
Sorry about the winge - just feeling sorry for myself....

Sorry to hear that! The four weeks will be over in no time! When I broke my humerus about 10 weeks ago they told me I shouldnt ride for 6 weeks, I thought I would never cope!!! It really went quite quickly (once I could move around)

Oh no another one

I know how you must be feeling after doing my collarbone last year and am now sat here in plaster.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

i'm lucky i was thrown vclear when pepper rolled over though..
Everyone keeps saying that his stride must have been wrong, but i know for a fact it was fine..he just didn't pick up for some reason - as you said..
Hope you mend soon - we'll be back in the saddle about the same time i reckon!

Sounds painful, I'm back in the saddle after 6 weeks in plaster with a broken ankle in April, suppose I can't join the clique as its mended now! Still, just think about all that daytime TV you've got to look forward to!!! That should make you feel better.

Ouch!! Hope you feel better soon! My horse fell with me over a month ago, he just lost his back end on a circle in the sand school. I came off and then he came down on my foot and ankle. That is a horrible feeling when you can see what is going to happen and there is nothing you can do to stop it. I was lucky and was just very badly bruised.

4 weeks will fly by I'm sure
