I feel so guilty about crating Flick every time I go out, so today I left both of them the run of the house whilst I was at work. Got home tonight to find that Flick had methodically chewed all of the mail/free newspapers which had come through the door, had peed inside (as bloody usual

) and had generally created chaos

Will she ever grow up and learn

Or will she stop doing it if I just grin and bear it, and keep leaving her out of the crate

when phasing the crate out, u need to do so very gradually for shorter periods than nicking off to work u bint

She has to much time to going on a wrecking spree, next time, do it whe u have popped to the shop or popped out for a very short spell.........

D'oh you are so clever Cala - will that approach stop her peeing on the floor too? Thats the bit that really does my head in, although luckily the carpet is disgusting and stained already

Planning when I can leave her 'free' now - maybe when I go to the yard tomorrow evening, since my car is now spendng day 4 in the garage so doggies cant come with me

Thats the second time today, I have been told Im clever......the first time was laughable considering company I was in

She should eventually stop the urinating u gradually build the time she will possibly learn to hold for longer, or in her mind, not so long, as u usually return pretty quick.
Don't be too hasty to jsut leave her out all day randomly, she has to prove she can last the shorter stints b4 the bigger ones are allocated
