and what does that mean folks?

The return of the dreaded Icecream Van Man!

Now this wouldn't be a problem if I was about 8 years old ...I used to be rather partial to odd Screwball or two so seeing Mr Whippy zipping around the street corners was happy childhood memory.

Not anymore, not when your riding a 5yr old and they decide to blast out Pretty Bubbles In the Air as they wizz by

Yeah thanks Mr Sprinkle Twinkle!!!!!! you nearly turned me and Mackenzie into a god dam 99!!

So be warned folks, there back out in force, they are the devil in disguise

There will be one coming for you very soon!:D

mmmmm............to me it means I'm already panicking about ponies and too much grass whereas a few weeks ago I was worrying there wasn't enough grass but knowing I would be worrying in a few weeks about too much!

Oh yes that too, I've already got a porka of a TB sat in the stable right now because she's getting too fat, feel bad having to bring her in during the day but its for her own good.

Yikes sound very unpleasant, you'd have thought the van driver would have had more sense, he could have ended up a bit of Tutti Fruiti as those vans are usually more fibreglass than anything else!

Did you know...
They are not allowed to sound their chimes before noon or after 7pm
They are not allowed to sound their chimes when stationary
They can only sound their chimes for 4 seconds at a time, and can't be sounded for another (?) 2 or 4 hours in the same place (can't recall, was a long time ago I drove a van)
The max volume of the chimes they are allowed to sound is 80 decibels.
They are licenced or come under the jurisdiction of the local council (depends on council if they need a licence or permit to trade, but I think most now have to have a street traders licence)
You can find the name and address of the van owner on the kerbside front side of the van.

Happy complaining!

And if they do any of this stuff or are just being a pain do complain!

My dad did years ago and never had any problems again. This particular ice cream man used to leave his chimes going while he did a 3point turn outside our house. Just what you want with a sleeping baby!!!

I think the complaint may have been excessively ranty due to the sleep deprivation but the guy got the volume reduced on his chimes and only sounded them in short bursts afterwards!

I don't like Mr Whippy though, the only ice cream van I ever go to is fredericks, you know the ones at chatsworth, the very best ice-cream from a van ever! And I've never heard one playing chimes, in fact you rarely see them on the move.

It's not hte ice cream vans I'm worried about it's those darn clip on Engalnd flags that are already starting to sprout up on cars.
How on earth do dezensitise them to those, am thinking I might actually have to purchase a set (urrgh) and put one up outside mines stable, won't get the same noise they make as car goes past though.
