Had someone come and see Daisy today, really lovely people (even though they were 45 minutes late..) everything was going so well, I had ridden amd popped a jump and the girl was trtting around with a big grin on her face and then

BAM turbo charged pony is galloping at full speed round the arena :$

Poor girl was being slightly overenthusiastic with her leg and seat aids, and slighty underenthusiastic with her reins. Ended up being dumped into the fence.

Her riding instructor suggested she got back on, but sadly turbo pony made another appearence, along with bucky turbo pony :(

Felt a bit sorry for the girl, fell off twice in the space of 10 minutes.

Thankfully turbo pony disappeared as soon as I got back on, however the viewers decided that they might leave her and look for something a bit quieter.

oopps! she wasnt one of these 'only ever ridden a riding school pony, kick kick' kind of riders was she?? bet it gave her bit of a shock, she might go home and work on a 'quiet seat' lol! :)

Bless:p Sorry it did not go too well but she sounds like our old mare. We loaned her out but she was never too good for other people unless they were really positive riders. I expect the little girl was just a bit overhorsed.

Fingers crossed for next time. At least they could see that you did not have problems so they know you were an honest seller.

You didn't want her to go with someone who couldn't get any sort of positive response from her, did you. She kind of told you she didn't want to go with them. There'll be someone else more suitable. The other kid needs to learn to ride, first.

I rather like the sound of Turbo Pony :D

Turbo pony is awesome, just not with a novice rider.. With me on the other hand... :D however I'm not such a fan of turbo-hahah-you're-not-catching-me-:P bucky pony, especially when there's a youngster in the school. Oooooops...

hmm, sadly think she might have been. She also needed to work on washingline reins and flappy legs!

Also, she was looking for a bsja pony but only had a budget of £1000, anyone else think this was a bit unrealistic??

Unsure why a young rider is being bitched about when the pony took off then took off an bucked.. since there is a pony elsewhere on this forum (or a thread about it) being potentially pts for 'bolting' with a young jockey
Did you get any information on her over the phone?

I don't think anyone is bitching about the rider. More having a chuckle at the cheeky pony. Or at least that's how I read it.

I agree Turbo Pony sounds fun. Naughty but fun :)

Umm my thoughts too.

I, too, like the sound of Turbo pony. Felt a bit sorry for the girl, but if it wasn't meant to be, it wasn't meant to be!! Brave of the girl to get back on, I always think thats a good commendable thing to do. Iam sure she will find herself the perfect pony.

I wasn't bitching about her, I just thought that a few people might like a chuckle at my idiot of a pony's antics. Of you dont see it this way then fine, but I wasnt trying to be nasty...

And please dont even joke that my pony is a bolter annd should be put down, I dont find that funny at all. The last time I checked there was quite a large difference between a pony being off the leg and a bolter.

I didn't get the impression it was meant unkindly at all. Just a cheeky pony and one of the unfortunate things that often occur when trying to buy/sell a horse?

I think turbo pony wants to come and live with me!!! (As does Ed from another thread!) Although I might squish the poor pony.....:(

it is a shame all riders can not be given a five stage vet before being allowed anywhere near a horse that is for sale , ( as in vet the rider) NEVER let anyone on your horse if you are selling unless you are confidant they are sutiable, and if you think they are not tell them , politely , to get off. I have been know to make people get off and lead the horse back if i dont think they are good enough for it. I get off and walk with them too, but in the first 10 you can usually tell how things will go.... and 45 mins late i hope they called you!!
