Advertised my boy for a rider / sale, lovely girl turns up knows her stuff really keen, we were chatting when she asked whats he like to catch and tack up and i said fine, if worked alot then can be a b****r sometimes, so i go to get head collar, well he's off, Que me trying to catch him, then once caught and tied up, she gets the bridle, next thing i know he has pulled the head collar over his head, (on neck ready to put bridle on) the b*****r decides to run off round the yard, OMG i've never been so embarrassed in my life, he has never done that before, well she left, but im glad she was honest and he wan't what she was looking for, but i feel like a right idiot now. Bloody horses.

You can always trust animals to let you down and make a liar of you. ;):D

An embarrassing and unfortunate experience for you, but quite comical for the rest of us to read about. :o:D

I wonder how many times over the years, with one sort of an animal or another I've heard the phrase (or used it myself): "He's never done that before!"

And sometimes, it's actually true! :p:D

That was the same reaction that went through my head i've actually said the dreaded last words, he's never done that before, but the funny thing is he hasn't! i just wanted the ground to swallow my up haha x

Clever thing... He knows where his bread is buttered!
My pony went out on loan today, i was honest and said ' he is a monster to load'... And on the trailer he trundled...

Hahaha! Ahh I sold a pony that I promised was easy to load.
They came with trailer to pick her up. Would pony load? Would she hell!!!
Que pony attempting to drag me around yard before I lost my patience, blocked both sides of the ramp and giddied her on.
"But she usually IS good to load" fell on deaf ears.

They know when something's up. I'm sure the look on your face was worth the effort for him ;)
